baked sweet potato fries

Baked sweet potato fries are an amazing hack to curb those fries cravings. And especially when you are trying to eat healthy because sweet potatoes are packed with nutrition like Vitamin A along with being a little sweet. They are also good sources of dietary fiber, manganese, Vitamins A, C, and B6. Since they are so low on the glycemic index – even diabetics can consume and benefit from them as sweet potatoes do not have much of an effect on blood sugar levels.

A healthier and no-effort take on fries. Got cravings but want to indulge in some fries? Make this!

Author: Pratty
  • 2 Sweet potatoes sliced to 1/4" thickness like fries or wedges with or without skin
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon olive oil or canola oil or any healthy oil
  • piri piri seasoning or any seasoning of choice - or just ground black pepper
  1. Preheat oven to 200C.

  2. Toss everything in a bowl till the slices are well coated with the seasoning.

  3. Line a baking tray with parchment paper or foil. Lay out the slices, make sure there's some gap between each slice.

  4. Bake for 10-12 minutes or till an inserted pin goes through a slice smoothly.

  5. Serve hot with a dip or ketchup and enjoy!
